I am a long time gvim user, but I am stumped by some startup issues I
am having with gvim on windows. When I start gvim, the window that it
brings up is just the title bar and when I try to resize the window,
the largest it will allow me to make the window is just barely large
enough to see the menu items. At the widest the I can make the
window, I am only able to see the first three menu items (File, Edit,
Tools). The remaining menu items are on subsequent lines of the
window.

When I choose to maximize the window the file name in the title still
appears scrunched as if my window wasn't maximized. When the window
is maximized, I see the full screen is used by gvim, but the scroll
bar is on the far left and the entire right portion of the screen is
gray. I can't see any text from files I am editing. It is as if the
text is hiding to the left of the scroll bar which is locked on the
left of the screen.

I thought maybe I had a problem with a configuration file or something
so I uninstalled gvim. I removed all references to it from my PC. I
removed all references to it from my registry.

After reinstalling, I have the same problem.

Everything worked great yesterday. I have no idea what has changed.
gvim appears to be the only application affected by this.

Does anyone have any ideas what might cause this?
