Hello!
I'm using MacVim Snapshot 57 on my iMac 3.06 GHz running Mac OS X 10.6.7 and
I've just discovered that TextExpander (in the current version) doesn't work.
What's TextExpander? What doesn't work about it?
It's a Mac abbreviation utility:

Any idea how to convince him? :-)
Convince who? To do what?
I think the 'him' was an 'it' that got lost in translation.
The OP wants to convince TextExpander to work with MacVim.
I'm not sure his chances are all that high, but I don't use TextExpander
at all, so I don't really have any idea. However, I imagine it could
wreak havoc with Vim--it would have to be active only in insert mode,
lest an abbreviation trigger a whole bunch of normal mode commands
unintentionally.
It is probably better to learn how to use Vim's built-in abbreviation
functionality (:help abbreviations) or use a Vim templating plugin of
some kind. That could be a bit annoying, needing to set up abbreviations
in Vim and TextExpander separately, but I can't think of a better way at
this stage (unless someone can make a plugin that loads abbreviations
from TextExpander's data file and then adds them to Vim).
Ben.
