I finaly wrote a guide: http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Build_Vim_in_Windows_with_Visual_Studio It provides a reasonably simple method of using Mercurial to get the latest source, and Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express (free) to build. A batch file to copy the resulting files to the wanted destination is provided. Please report any problems here or in the Comments section at the bottom of the tip.
