A few things missing in the list was any particular javascript HTML requests, more curious I'd that there wasn't an item about plugins and plugin mgt since its been mentioned in nearly every reply. Vim has pathogen, vimball, vundle and vam. Would have been good for one method from above or combination chosen and given a tighter integration into the core.
