Hi,
I am using windows 7 and an application called theBrain (www.thebrain.com).
Windows is set to associate .txt files with vim and this works as expected.
In theBrain, .txt files are by default associated with notepad and this can
be changed to various other programs like wordpad or google chrome. The
next time I double click a .txt file in theBrain, the program I choose
opens with the text file showing.
But if I try to associate the .txt file in theBrain with vim, then the next
time I double click the .txt file, it is still notepad that I get. I have
not been able to get it to open with vim without the extra work of the
"open with" command. "Open" will always get notepad, if I have tried to get
it to always use vim. Other programs are fine. I have tried wordpad, chrome
and even emacs.
The people at theBrain claim this is a vim problem.
What do you suggest is the fix?
Albert Tyson
