I suspect that the ABCD issue was more one of terminal/ssh configuration rather than a vim issue. The vim.tiny should understand arrow keys just fine (as you note in your local experience), but I've had occasions where putty/kermit/telnet send one $TERM identification but transmit an unexpected/conflicting/wrong sequence for arrow keys (as well as function keys, alt+character, etc). That's one of the things I loved first about vi/vim: even when my terminal settings didn't exactly match, I had full functionality from just the core 7-bit ASCII characters without having to make sure my terminal settings lined up. -tim -- -- You received this message from the "vim_use" maillist.
