I had the same experience -- I believe we are both suse users -- they did a good job of hiding it
from the main menu select Settings, then Configure Desktop, Workspace, Shortcuts, Global Keyboard Shortcuts, then in that KDE Component scroll box scroll to kwin, go down to Maximize Window and delete its mapping good luck...
