Well, most of those unlabeled buttons have help tags, so it is pretty easy to figure out what they do.
A majority of the program reads just fine. However, you can't access either the mixer group area (where all of the individual track strip controls are located), or the regions area (where you select clips for editing), so that cuts out a lot. Without access to the track strips, you can't set volume or pan for the tracks, much less do stuff like assign I/O ports, setup effects, and select software instruments. I have an M-Audio ProjectMix I/O control surface that I use with other DAW software. It has a mode for Logic. That might be of help for operating the mix region. I haven't tried it, though. I'm too busy with other DAWs at the moment, and don't have Logic installed in an easy to get to manner at the moment.
