I'm sending this to the list in case anyone else has that question of what they 
were doing when the mac audio flipped..

They were using there default audio and they don't have a usb headset at all. 
He force quit ahj and it still went to sound flower. He had to get his sighted 
person to help him. We are both looking for a solutiona s I've had this issue 
before.
