Yes, I do that too. In my iMac, I have a rule which moves the e-mail  
to a folder inside Mail.app... and in my PowerBook, where I only read  
mail (I don't archive it there), I have another rule, which gives a  
green colour to all mail coming from Vintage Macs, 1st PowerMacs, G- 
books and iMacs...
