That could well be. In my own case, I have a Mac Plus keyboard that I'd get a
bang out of typing with on a (relatively) modern machine. That being said, I'm
not sure just how much I'd be willing to pay for the privilege (note the
Scottish last name).

But if someone is insan^H^H^H^H^Hdetermined enough to build a few units, they
may indeed be able to find buyers for 'em. I guess he/she would have to build
them, first, then fix a price to find out. :)

Well, that's a clever app, but it really is too bad you can't keep your
original Macintosh keyboard intact. There is a Grand Canyon's difference
between what Apple built in the way of keyboards a quarter century ago, and
what they're offering up to end users now. I'm not saying there's a right or
wrong, just that it's too bad that today's end users will likely never
experience firsthand what it was like to type on something as rock-solid as one
of those early model Macintosh keyboards.

Of course, keyboards nowadays are, let's face it, throwaway items, but I always
seem to find myself bemoaning that fact. Although there *is* something to be
said for being able to stop by the local drugstore to pick up a replacement
keyboard. I don't think anyone a quarter-century ago ever envisioned computer
keyboards being cheap enough to be sold at drugstores. :)

Anyway, can you throw us a link to a picture or two of your project when you
get to it? It sounds intriguing.

Best,

James Fraser
