What do you mean by "modern day?"

There are essentially three types of printers being
produced: inkjet, laser, dot matrix (for multiple
copy forms). Really, the same basic types that have
been made for many years.

The challenge is to find one that has an "interface"
compatible with a IIsi. Nearly all consumer printers
that I have seen are either USB or ethernet connected.

While it is not likely that you will be able to jury-
rig a connection for the IIsi to a USB printer, you
might be able to fiddle an ethernet connection to
an ethernet connected printer.

Otherwise, hunt up a StyleWriter type inkjet printer or
an ImageWriter.
