Britt:

None of these machines are on the web; the Performa, iMac and G4 are
all tied to an Ethernet hub for file-sharing and printing purposes
only in my basement office. I can mount the drives from the Performa,
the iMac and my G4's classic volume from the SE FDHD over LocalTalk,
using the Performa as a bridge. This requires me to unhook one of my
printers from the Performa, of course. I can also turn on
PrinterSharing on the Performa and let it handle print jobs sent from
the SE. I've never tried to access the web from it; I guess I could
try that, but I don't know if the contract with my internet provider
allows sharing the signal, as it is the lowest-cost DSL plan
available, and the only computer on it is my wife's B&W G3, which is
located on the main floor of my house.

BTW, the SE FEHD was a freebie form a colleague, too. I upgraded it to
4MB of RAM and put a 240MB hard drive in it with both System 6.0.8 and
System 7.0.1 on it, and I can jump between the two with System
Switcher. I also have a SCSI Zip 100 on the SE, too. I use the SE as
a distraction-free writing station using ClarisWorks 2.1, WriteNow 4,
Nisus Compact, or Word 5.1 (depends on my mood). And, of course, to
play Captain Magneto, Theldrow and Pyramid of Ra, mostly.
