If that's the case, why would Apple bother even putting in an anti-malware app into the latest SnowLeopard release, and have definitions for it. IIRC, the most commonly found Mac based viruses are one in Apple's own software that is found on illict file sharing sites, because people have bought into the "Mac's cant get a virus" claim and are too stupid to know different. Any system can get a virus. iPods and iPhones are some of the biggest attacked devices, blackberries and other smartphones fall next (Suprisingly, Windows Mobile devices are nowhere near the infection rates of Apple's devices, and there are exponentially more WinMo phones than there are iPhones) I remember finding a virus on an old AppleIIGS system disk copy, took me by surprise. but, at the same time, I also have antivirus disks for xBox, xBox 360, Nintendo Wii, GameCube, Gameboy DS, and a few other game systems that can transfer data between systems. It just goes to show, when people don't believe it, it does happen.
