I shipped a 512ke to Canada a couple of months ago and if memory serves it
was about $40 UPS from Virginia. It's the size of the box that drives the
price up, the 512ke doesn't really weight all that much. As far as packing I
used massive amounts of bubble wrap to make a Mac-filled cocoon and filled
the box with shipping peanuts. No problem, got there in perfect shape.
