This is a long shot, so you'll probably want to wait for confirmation or denial from the list, but I have a vague memory that the Imagewriter II has a couple of banks of DIP switches which must be set properly for communications. Does the Imagewriter also have configurable switches? Is it possible that your printer is configured to talk with something like an Apple II and must be reconfigured to communicate with a Macintosh?
