Yes. On the 400k drives the head is at the bottom and you can reach in a long cotton swab with 91% alcohol on it and swab it clean. On a double sided drive I wouldn't try this due to the possibility of screwing up the alignment of the "floating" head. Obviously, let it dry before using it or use an air duster to dry it (blowing in from the rear). -- Ryan C.
