Hi Jeff,

I'd be interested since my color Classic has stopped working.

anyone interested in a very nice Mac-color Classic that was previously owned
by Lucas Fain, Harvard Lecturer ? It comes in the original box....great shape!

Pretty much. Though I'm also admittedly coming from the perspective of
never having had a computer/Mac/etc really worth collecting. My 128k is
quite yellowed, has what appears to be a slight burn-in dot in the
middle of the screen (almost looks like someone unhooked the sweeps and
left it displaying a single dot for awhile), and it has Mac Plus ROMs in
it (it was given to me with a Sad Mac code for bad ROMs. A swap with
some Plus ROMs got it running again, with the bonus of being able to use
800k disks). I might feel a little differently if I had one of the
  pristine
  complete-in-box-with-all-paperwork-and-receipt-and-lock-of-hair-from-salesman
type setups. As it is, I have a fun little hobbybox.

My current project is to resurrect my Quadra 840AV. I have the feeling
it'll end up somewhat collectible too in the end, though perhaps not
quite as iconic as the 128k Macs. Mine is suffering the same
collectibility problem as the 128k - yellowed face, dinged up case,
missing CD bezel, damaged power button... It sometimes works! I'm
suspecting a problem with caps or the SCSI chip.
