I know some will disagree with me, but my personal opinion is the high end should be no more than 7.5.5. Some will scoff and say that 7.6.1 or even 8.1 is better, but I have found that some programs made for the 68K will not run under 7.6.1, but run like a champ under 7.5.5. There is a strong bias for running any system under the highest operating system it can possibly run on, but I have found my systems run better on an operating system that was used when it was created. I like system 7.1 too in some cases (I haven¹t tried system 6, sorry), but I generally use 7.5.5. :o) I personally don¹t think you will get any prices like you are thinking. These are old, but they are not considered ³collectables² yet, and most people scoff at any computer that cannot surf the net. Also, they were the less expensive computers even for their own day, the kind often used in school classrooms. Yet they are powerful machines for Word and Excel (of their day), and there are many really great games that run on them too. Anyway, they probably won¹t sell for the cost it would take to ship them, so if I were you, I would set them up in a room, and have grandkids or local kids (that don¹t have the latest machines dripping off them) come over and play the really great educational games that were made for these machines. Okay, I am very bias. Sorry! I am glad you are restoring these machines! Chuck -- ----- You received this message because you are a member of the Vintage Macs group.
