Thanks again. I was told that a virus can only infect an application, that files cannot have a virus. Is this correct? It doesn't seem that that could be correct. I don't remember any system wide problems from years ago - there could have been. This time trying to save a file not only erased it, but froze the computer as well. Does this mean that the system folder or something in it, like finder or system is infected? Is this possible?
Thanks!
