In addition to the other reply with the Official Procedure. To help get the case apart, only remove the screws part way then find somewhere on the case back to grab hold while pushing on the Torx screwdriver. For a case spreader, find a metal spring clamp. Like this. http://www.doitbest.com/Bar+clamps+and+spring+clamps-Danaher+Tool+Ltd-model-353922-doitbest-sku-353922.dib Pull the plastic covering off the ends so they can be inserted into the seams around the sides of the case. You'll want to use a thick towel or a piece of foam padding or even a flat pillow to lay the front of the Mac on while getting the case apart. You do not need to remove the anode cap from the CRT.
