2 mb of ram means you have an expansion memory card in there just need a couple
of 1 mb memory sticks. Give me your address and ill send you a couple. I
would suggest 7.1 for speed and easy of use but 7.5 works too

OS, but it doesn't look like I have enough RAM to even run the install (booting
from the 7.5 Network Access disk, with the files on a PB 540c, is taking up
1.1MB, and the installer says it need 1.6MB to run).Is 7.5.x possible at all on
a system with 2MB? Is 7.1 the latest I can actually run on it?
I'm pretty sure it's possible but you will have VERY little memory left to run
in.
