That is weird, it should work. Check that your
AppleTalk
CP is set to the correct port and that you have no
remnants of MacTCP hanging about or try the Network
Software Switcher CP.

The big difference between plain 7.1 and any 7.1.x
variant is Finder 7.1.3, which is scriptable and has
some other "goodies" which enable it to fully work
with additions like Drag Manager etc. The P systems
(no Not the Pascal P system ;-) were simply 7.1 
with Finder 7.1.3 or 7.1.1 with various software
packages, usually including one or more non-Apple
programs and preconfigured with a bunch of stuff in
the Launcher to make it "easier" (yet usuallly
annoying) to use.

Does anyone have a Performa 520/550 System 7.1P6
install CD? The LC version of same would just be plain
7.1 without the extra Performa goodies.
