Here is some first hand information. I have one of
the recalled Powerbook AC Adapters. I bought it as a
replacement for my Powerbook 1400 from VST. I called
Apple and they are replacing it without an exchange.
They said just throw the old one out. All they asked
for was a serial number and the manufacturer
(Samsung). I may have to wait a week or more for the
new one though due to the number of reclled adapters.
The Apple web page on the recall makes it sound that
the bad adapters only came with G3 Powerbooks. I took
a chance and called to find out that wasn't so.
