This really should be taken to the compact-macs list.

In any case, yeah, you need to open up the case.  Don't worry, its 
not that hard.  Actually, I take that back.  The Classic form factor 
is the single hardest compact to open.  The top sticks.  You gotta 
angle your toes in wierd erotic angles and yank the bejeezus out of 
it.  The computer, that is.

Once you have the case open its pretty easy.  The Classic case is 
pretty neat inside.
