Sure, I remember the business note that you could buy your own phone
or continue to rent. Anyway, ... I think that is what it said. We
weren't sure what it said and I am a college graduate. We continued
to rent for 4 or 5 months before we bought our own.
Southwestern Bell owes the folks mega bunches of money here because
they overcharged them. They were found guilty but refused to cough
up the bucks. Now, ... get this. Two towns over have a free call to
Oklahoma City. Us? Nope. A long distance call. 17 miles away, and we
have to call long distances. Our ISP charges 14 dollars a month in
the next town, but charges us 10 more because of the long distance
thing. I am not proud of ma Bell, and I cannot tell you if we are
being cheated or not.
And you blame the little old lady? Shoot, our electric company
murdered an old man in OKC. In June they turned off his electricity
because he couldn't pay it. In July, he died of a heat stroke inside
his house. Drain Suckers? They exist and believe me, ...Microsoft
is one of them.
So, I am the only Macintosh in our school system. Well, the tecks go
through and put an upgrade on all of the computers. Our secretary
lost her attendance program, completely. Can you believe that? Now
she will have to put all of the new kids and the old kids back into
the computer. And she is not the only secretary that it happened to.
