Depends on what you are doing. When talking about basic 'office' like
applications: no, we probably even got less productive because of the
bloat and extra features. But I guess that in the field of photo
maninpulation, rendering, big calculation stuff etc. the speed of
newer processors did open a lot of possibilities. Mp3's aren't the
only flashy things, you know.
