        LEM has an Apple2 list, you might want to look into joining there.
I'll just say this for now:

All the Apple// series computers output composite video so you can hook
them up to the monitors you got with the lot, or to a VCR's (or TV's)
composite input...or even to a Mac video input card. =^)  All you need is
a cable with RCA connectors on each end, like the one that probably came
with your VCR.

They use standard power cables except for the //c (unless you have the
//c+, in which case you got a pretty cool item =^) the //c is powered by
an external brick.

To test them, switch on the machine and simultaneously press Control -
Closed Apple - Reset to run the self test.  There should be a graphic show
of sorts for a minute and say "KERNEL OK" or "System OK" if all is fine.
If there's a problem then it'll report what's bad.

The self test is just for the CPU, not peripherals.
