Wow! Now that's vintage. The Apple IIc was my first computer. No HD, 128K
of RAM (not megs!) however these machines accepted external HD. Everything
was run on the 5 1/4 " drive. What was cool about these machines was that
they had the same printer and modem ports as a Mac so I was able to use my
blazing 1200 baud modem when I got my first Mac. Check out
www.apple-history.com I do believe they have some specs on the old Apple II
line of machines. The only downside was the continual switching of disks.
My poor disk drive latch had a workout especially when playing Bard's Tale
I, 2, and 3.
Oh BTW if you forgot, the old 5 1/4" floppies had the ability to be double
sided. All you needed to do was line up with the notch on the right side of
the floppy and using a single hole puncher, punch a half circle hole on the
left side of the floppy. Now you can just flip the disk over and use the
other side!
