As a matter of fact, Pearl Harbor was not an unprovoked attack!
Japan was already engaged in war at the time. They certainly didn't
want another enemy to fight. But, the United States set up a naval
blockade around Japan preventing them from bringing in food and
supplies. A naval blockade, by the by, is an act of war. So, the
United States had already committed an act of war against Japan.
Japan retaliated by bombing the harbor where those ships were
stationed.
Of course, that part of the story was deliberately left out of
U.S. history books. And, of course, the repeated military actions
that the U.S. has taken against Islamic nations will be left out of
U.S. history books as well... The story will begin with the attack on
New York. Can't have our kids growing up, thinking we're all a bunch
of *ssh*l*s now, can we?

>It is not revenge we speak of. It is justice.

Nay! Justice involves "due process." Without due process, it's just
plain revenge... mob mentality.

If you mean "justified" in it's True definition... And
after-market add-on explanation to make one's actions *appear* to be
right, then yes, America was justified. If you mean "justified" as
"Correct in the first place", then, no. America was not justified.

> she is also justified in taking action after this cowardly attack.

If the United States' military was as weak as the Islamic nations'
military, and theirs was as strong as ours..... And the only way we
had of "getting even" for the attack on New York was to fly a
kamikazi jetliner into their capital... Would you pilot that jet?...
Cowardly it was not!

> Every nation has the right to protect her citizens.

Absolutely! But, the greater part of "protecting her citizens"
lies in not provoking others to attack her citizens. In that, the
U.S. has failed miserably!
And, how does seeking revenge protect anyone? Will it bring back
the lives that were lost? Absolutely not! It will only create more
death and destruction... Leaving the Islamic people feeling justified
in launching yet another attack on the U.S... Maybe Los Angeles next
time... Maybe the white house and congress. That's protecting the
citizens?

I speak the professional opinion of a skilled warrior. I'm
Schooled in over 20 different Martial Arts. Just like the U.S. has
the power to run rough-shod over the Islamic nations, I have the
power to run rough-shod over anyone I damn well please... And there's
not a damned thing they could do about it. But, I don't... Many is
the time I've walked away from a fight. Many is the time I've been
called a coward. Many is the time someone came to me later and said,
"Thank you for being man enough to walk away & not put me in the
hospital."

If George W. Bush isn't man enough to walk away, it's high time he
step down from office and let an adult take over.

Cheers,
Andrew

those who have not passed this test, over the next few years
