Thank you. You just illustrated the above point... It's
unfathomable! Chris, I feel you're letting your emotions overrun your
intellect. There is nothing contained in the above statement that
says it is not a gruesome thing, for a stewardess to be cut up with
box cutters, butcher knives, scalpels, or anything else. It is merely
a statement of fact... To many Moslems, to sacrifice themselves, and
a few (hundred, thousand... doesn't matter) others, to further what
they believe is a "Righteous Cause"... It's all in a day's work.
We, in America, can't stand the thought of even one of "Our Own"
being hurt or killed, while involved in a campaign to bomb someone
else back into the stone age... A very different way of thinking,
that we cannot even begin to comprehend.

Those passengers fought the highjackers because they knew they
were headed for certain death if they didn't fight... They might have
a chance of survival if they were successful in overcoming them. Only
a few fought. The rest cowered. If they had all fought, that plane
would have landed safely.
If the highjackers had handed all the passengers parachutes, they
would have all jumped to safety and the White House would now be a
pile of rubble.
The highjackers knew they were headed for certain death either
way... They volunteered for it... Did the passengers on the other 3
flights fight?

I know this sounds cold and heartless to say in the aftermath of
Tuesday. But, hey! The subject is here, and in a couple weeks, when
emotions have cooled... Or when G.W. launches his attack on
Afghanistan killing many civilians, and Americans are dancing in the
streets over their deaths, even though we're so appalled that they
would dance in the streets over our deaths... No one will give a
sh*t.....
America has gone yellow. We were once a great nation. Not anymore.

America will bomb the hell out of Afghanistan. Only because we
have stealth bombers & we can do it with little, or, no loss on our
side. If we had to go in with the same technology as the Afghanis
possess, we'd tuck tail and run.

Hell, I can't even find anyone in this country who is willing to
join a boycott against companies that are destroying our
environment... They're afraid they may hurt someone's feelings. Or,
someone might get mad at them, or, worse yet, they may be
inconvenienced... Boo Hoo!

In short... No. I'm not happy that thousands of folks died in New
York. I am appalled though, that Americans will yell and scream in
protest when American civilians are killed, yet, will sit on their
fat, lazy asses, watching television and drinking beer, not even
uttering a whimper of protest when the U.S. government goes out
killing thousands, even hundreds of thousands of civilians in other
countries. That's Sick!

Cheers,
Andrew
