Now, look.

Kyle Hanson *is* one of the "more learned listers". He's one of the most
prolific contributors to the Mac discussions; he knows a hell of a lot about
Macs and always has helpful advice to share. I wish everyone would get off
his case. You're obviously not getting his point. I don't see anyone jumping
on Gregg's case for posting something "off-topic" to this list. Just because
a majority of people on this list might "agree" with it doesn't make it
appropriate. (FWIW, I wasn't "offended" or anything by the posting -
actually, I liked it and what it had to say - until it got to the "heathen"
part. Which is the thing that bugged Kyle, too. With good reason!) -And I'm
not trying to criticize Gregg here either; he's *also* one of the most
prolific contributors.

Get off Kyle's ass. This is the kind of sh*t he and I and other people who
aren't Christian and don't keep out mouths shut when we find ourselves being
pushed around have to put up with.

...And BTW, not being Christian does not automatically mean that I don't
care about the NY & DC tragedies, or that I sympathize with terrorists, or
anything like that, so don't start with any of that drivel.

I'm not going to end this with "Now, back to Macs" as lots of people tend to
do - to me, that smells like someone trying to get the last word.

If I'm breaching list netiquette, then Dan can go ahead and ban me if he
wants, and he can ban Kyle too if he's so inclined. But why ban people who
actually contribute to the list with useful Mac input? Anyway, that's his
concern. No JAG, you don't have to bother sending another "please reserve
your off-topic posts for off-list" message, I *know* I'm off-topic, but
that's just going to happen sometimes. I'm not going to just sit by while a
fellow vintage Mac'er is trashed for no good reason.
