Installing System 7.5.3 on a IIci with Turbo 601, or possibly using the Turbo 601 enabler, alters the ID to that of an LC/Performa 475 with the LC version of the 601 upgrade. Then Mac OS 8.5 will install without any hacks. :) But it still won't support any apps that require SCSI Manager 4.3. :( Mac Identifier says it's a PowerMac 475 and shows an LC pizzabox icon. ===== "The earth swarms with inhabitants.
