Nothing if you don't use a programme that supports the FPU. Photoshop
uses the FPU and some others are. But in spread sheets the performance
gain is low. I measured the total use of FPU code in our spread sheet
calculation programme to be below 8% and it's quite optimized.

No, not when working with the Finder, with files and something
equivalent.

Which Mac do you own? In a 68030 Mac I would add the FPU if there's
already an empty socket for it. But if I would have to buy an adapter
card or to change my 68LC040 I would'n do it. A 68LC040 (without FPU) is
faster than a typical 68030+68882 ...
