My LCIII running IPNetRouter is great, up to a point. The DHCP server
can't recognise my machines' Hardware Mac addresses. I set my iBook up
(using OS X) to run DHCP and IPNR gave it a dynamic IP. I then gave IPNR
the HA of the iBook's ethernet adapter and it still gave it a dynamic IP
address. I gave IPNR a Client ID and typed it into the appropriate box
in OS X config and IPNR offers the IP address in the static list but OS
X ignores it and takes the dynamic one again. Irritating? I'll say.
I also have an 840av and an SE/30 on the same LAN and they are not being
assigned IP addresses at all. The server will not dole them out to them
when I set them to DHCP. Does anyone know anything about this lark, and
what is more can they help?
