break out the streamers, guys. I'm losing my virginity right in front of you and everybody. ok. today i received a glidepoint trackpad from mike milo from the swaplist. unwrapped it, went into the computer room, sat down, turned on the IIsi, and successfully navigated my way thru following the directions to insert the floppie. that's one virginity gone. now i have inserted my first floppy into any computer, ever in my life. hooray for me. saw the icon appear, clicked it open. first glitch: the README file could not be found to be read. ok. on we go. used the mouse to locate the system folder with the finder, drew the system folder out on the desktop made an alias for the system folder pulled the alias apart from the system folder icon and used command+y to put the system folder away where it came from leaving the system folder alias on the desktop followed the directions to drag and drop the trackpad software icon over onto the system folder alias icon. install was successful so far. followed direction to turn off. removed mouse and attached trackpad to ADB port. turned IIsi on again. bootup went fine. found the icon for the disc and clicked it open then went to the system folder alias, clicked it open, found the same installed sucessfully inside the system folder as well as the control panels. README file still not found. hm. used controls to customize trackpad buttons and cursor speed. closed up trackpad control panels. opened keyboard and mouse control panels in turn, adjusted speed downwards, to match speed set in trackpad controls. closed all back up. backed out of successive folders until back on the desktop, all went well, gave shutdown sequence, sat back, feeling relieved I did it.
