If you live near a university (especially an expensive
private one, where the kids are pretty careless with
Daddy's money) now is the time to be scanning the
want ads for deals.

This morning I picked up the following: A PowerBook 165
in what looks like mint condition (OS 7.5.1) filled
with software and games and a copy of MacX 1.2 that
I've been hunting for some time. It was in a very nice
Orvis laptop case. Inside the case I saw something
that I had previously considered only an Urban Legend:
an Asante SCSI-Ethernet bridge. This had both cables
(HDI-30 and DB-25) AND the original software floppy.

If pickle and macdriver want the software, let me
know and I'll drop you an image.

Cost: $25

Before you start weeping, consider that on Monday
I picked up a Color Classic in absolutely perfect
condition, with original keyboard and mouse, running
OS 7.1 and loaded with Word, a bunch of utilities
and more games than I could count.

Paid $20 for that.

Many students are vacating their apartments and
condos for the year (around here, many leases
run June-June) so it's pretty easy to relieve
them of their old computers.
