Hi everyone!

What is this all about? I have a IIci with 32mb of RAM, the IIci
Cache card, ans running system 7.1 It is connected to a 15 inch
macintosh Color Display. For some reason unknown, when I power up
the monitor won't kick on. It's power light is on, and it is using
it's own power source; plugged into the power strip and not the IIci.
What I have to do is leave the video cable un-screwed so that I can
quickly pull it off and plug it back in while the IIci is boting and
this kicks the video on every time! What could possibly be wrong?
IS there not enough juice getting through during the intial boot
sequence? Why is it that it only happens after a complete power-down
and cold start? If I warm-boot the machine and the conneciton is
already established I have no problem. It's just from power-up, and
it is every time, not matter when.
Anubody got any i deas? It's starting to worry me because I don't
think it wise to wear on my port by pulling and plugging the cable
with every power up.

Other than this, the IIci and it's parts work perfectly. I have it
phonenetted into my home network made up of a G3 enhanced 7500, a
7200/90 file server, a Duo Dock plus with a 230 in it, and a IIsi for
email. The IIci is my publishing machine, it runs Adobe PhotoShop 3
and Illustrator 6, QuarkXpress and my GoLive WA stuff. That is my
little network, as if you were interested.

Anyway, if anyone knows what may be wrong h ere, I'd appreciate some help.

Thanks!
