ok, I guess I hadn't cleared the plastic tabs as I originally
thought. It looked like I did, but there's apparently an extra li'l
bump to clear on one of them. And I got the thing apart.

Then next issue...

        Procedures say to remove Jumper 79 and bridge 79. J78 is that
tiny little rectangular doohickey? Reading on it prior I thought I'd
just be taking out a bit of solder or cutting a connection. Just want to
be sure of things...what is that thing anyway?

Second, I've been referrng to two separate sites, one at:
        <http://www.colourclassicfaq.com/general/vga.html>

The other is the one I mentioend in my earlier post:
        <http://www.geocities.com/edakoda/>

Checking wht I need to bridge (so I could measure a wire) I noticed the
CCFAQ site bridges pins 8 and 12. the Geocities site bridges 8 to 10
instead. ...then I noticed the CCFAQ procedure does a couple of other
things to the board not mentioend in the other site.

Is there a better one of the two? I basically just plan to drop a 575
board into it. Just want to be sure of things before I go hacking away.
