The above quote from previous posting implies that DeVaul's problem would
be fixed by using IIfx 1 MB simms instead of IIfx 4 MB simms.
Bad advice, sorry.

Putting IIfx simms into a 8*24GC causes a direct short on the +5 VDC power
line.
I have verified this with ohmmeter readings.
Therefore, one or more NuBus slots in DeVaul's IIci may be nuked, as well
as possibly any other NuBus cards that he had in there at the time.
