Depends on your OS. There is no limit on physical size but there is a
limit to partition sizes.

6.0.8 - 2GB
7.0-7.5 4GB
7.6.1 and up 20TB (yes that's Terrabytes)

Dunno if it got bigger at 8.1 with HFS+ but it's pretty irrelevant for a
IIci.

Doable, but uneconomical for such a small drive, as pickle says it is
expensive (I think the 50-pin el-cheapo SCSIDE bridge like mine is
actually more like $60 in the US). You'd be better of going out and
buying one of the rash of 2-4GB drives that have popped up on eBay of
recent, just make sure you buy a 50-pin drive not a 68-pin (unless you
want to buy a $10 adapater) or an 80-pin (unless you want to retire
early through stress) drive.

Just get a 1-2GB drive and put 2 partitions on it using Apple HD SC
Setup (may need the hacked 'all drives' version for newer drives not
made by Quantum - see <http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2> for details)

About 2 minutes to go to the AppleTalk (or Network) CP and select
'Printer Port' or 'Modem Port' (depends which port on each machine you
plugged it into) and wait for it to switch over. Then the other machine
should show up in chooser.
