To be honest I just skip the whole oil bit and spray on Isopropyl Alcohol.
  It works mch faster than oils and will also remove most other hard to 
shift stains as well, such as pen marks and those weird black scuffs you 
never can work out, in the process. I have a 2 sge cleaning process for 
Mac cases, first is a general purpose foam case cleaner, which I think is 
water based, then anything that don't shift gets soaked with IPA. As a 
BEWARE, IPA strips off some of the inks on Mac cases, specifically, IME, 
serial numbers on serial number labels and the "PowerPC" logos on 
PowerMacs. I am real jealous of you yanks, I have to pay �2.50 for a can 
of IPA spray from a mail order supplier!!
