Hello,

This shut down problem, I would like to know what you mean about the
ALWAYS-ON SWITCH? I was given a IIsi by mistake and when I go to
shutdown in the menu, it shuts off, and then a few seconds later, it will
come back on. Can you please tell me how to correct this?

Thank you.

Sincerely

Carolyn Leverich Atkinson

I tried to set up a couple of IIsi Macs as word processors, but 4 out of
5 had problems.

On 3 of them the power circuit does not work: the Mac turns on as soon as

you plug it in, and does not turn off when you Shut Down. I know about
the always-on switch and it was in the out position.

Another one turns on and off properly, but the sound is extremely weak.
This IIsi has one of those ROM SIMMs.

I think both problems are on the logic board, so I doubt if swapping
parts around will do any good.

I seem to recall that the IIsi ROM SIMM has some value -- how much do you

think it is worth?
