I have an external floppy and CD, but I need them for my IIsi. However, I hope this info helps with the other topics:
>6) Mac OS 6.0.8 (aka System 6.0.8) 800K Floppy Disks (as I found that >mine have now died after all these years), and does anyone have or know >how to make a bootable Mac OS 6.0.8 CD-R? System 6.0.8 images are available as a free download from ftp://ftp.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/System/Older_System/System_6.0.x/ Joel could have someone he knows with a Mac (or at least an 800K compatible drive) and Internet access fetch these for him and make disks from them. >a) Which software(s), and/or drivers and/or extensions are needed to >allow CD-ROM drives to mount under Mac OS 6.0.8, Mac OS 7.1 with Update >3, and Mac OS 7.5.x, on a Mac PLUS (I know that you can't boot a PLUS >via a CD-R), an SE and/or a CLASSIC? >b) Which external SCSI CD-R burners work with an SE and/or a CLASSIC? I use the Apple CD-ROM and various file access extensions from CD-ROM Software 5.0.2 (I got them off of an Aerosmith Nine Lives CD) for my AppleCD 300e Plus dexternal drive on System 7.1 with no problems. They're probably available for download somewhere; if you can find a Nine Lives CD, they're on it in the "Apple Software" folder of the disc "Nine Lives." -A CD Burner on an SE? I don't think it will work, but I've never tried it, so it's worth a shot if you can find one. Hope this helps. -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
