None. But at least one of the Apple LaserWriters can use IIfx RAM. RAM found in that printer usually _can't_ be used in a IIfx because the printer doesn't require RAM as fast as the IIfx needs. > --What Macs can use RAM from a IIcx? Any Mac with 30pin SIMM slots, if the speed of the RAM is fast enough to meet the specs. > --What Macs can use RAM from a II? It's 30pin, but if the SIMMs are the special type the Mac II needs for some sizes of SIMMs then it's best to keep them in the Mac II. To use SIMMs larger than 1meg in Bank A, a Mac II must have the upgraded ROM installed. That ROM also supports upgrading the IWM chip to the SWIM chip, then it can use a 1.44M floppy drive. The ROM and SWIM chips are available, if you look around. > DAYSTAR: > Which of the above listed Macs would you install the > 50 MHz card into? It's made to plug directly into a IIci, IIvx, IIvi or Performa 600. Any other 020 or 030 Mac requires an adaptor, so it depends on which Mac the adapter you have will fit. > APPLE: > The LCII I have has a squarish knockout missing from > the back, The LCII is ideal for the ][e card since there's no point in installing over 8megs RAM in a Mac using that card. It requires 32bit addressing to be turned off. Do you have the external cable for the card? That allows you to connect a joystick and 5.25" floppy. Never connect the apple 5.25" floppy to the floppy port on any Mac! It will fry the floppy controller of the Mac and may ruin the 5.25" drive too. ===== "Work it harder make it better do it faster makes us stronger. More than ever hour after our work is never over."
