i have no background from which to authoritively say this, but could it be the 19" monitor? could it be that the picture would be sharper on a smaller size screen? like the 12" or 13" monitors? I have a similar problem looking at the web on webtv, which does 540 x 480 pixels, but I'm looking at it on a 27" TV screen. up close, the edges are fuzzy. I have to sit on the far side of the room to sharpen the view. [I'm farsighted, so that's fine by me]
