In the early 1990s, the UK Ministry of Defence used IIcis followed by Quadra 700s for 
image analysis. These did not use special cases and the Macs and monitors were 
operated in special TEMPEST enclosures, according to my then work colleagues. I never 
saw them for myself because I failed the security clearance, presumably for being a 
Guardian reader...
