Hi folks. I won a action for two external hard drive enclosures: 2 McGIGA 2 bay external drive boxes
"Thay are identical, have a 2.1 g Seagate drive inside and seem to work ok. Im selling them as they dont seen to work with my Apple (cant mount them)" This how they where advertised so how can I go wrong? Well they are big dual bay ext boxes, push button scsi id selectors, fans and two of the biggest hard drives I've seen for a personal computer. Seagate ST42100N, nice of them to still have support doc's for this beat. The drive is 5.25x8x4 at a guess, taking up both bays and weighs about 5kg or 12.5 pound. Makes a old Winchester look puny. Anywho, anyone know anything about these wonderful old paper weights, I dont think McGIGA put these together with Mac's in mind. Though they look to be the same colour and horizontal bar design as some of the early macs (IIfx, dont own one, going off pics). Both drives were found and initialized with a hacked drive setup and barring one bad block both work well. :) -- Vintage Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
