I use Netscape 4.08 on all my 68k Macs with at least a 68040/25 processor. I give it all the RAM I can to prevent the unexplainable freezes that Defrost won't cure. My Quadra 605 has a 64MB RAM Chip and I give Netscape 12MB to 24MB of RAM to make it run normally. Your 580 probably has an LC '040/33 processor.
