No luck here but then I never had a need to run Java on a 68k Mac...

It works OK on a 604e running OS 9.1, but it is slightly sluggish. I 
used to test Java for my housemates, who were comp-sci students, on my 
7300/200, just to make sure it *did* work on more than one platform.

To be bluntly honest web-based Java doesn't work right under OS X 
10.2.2, never mind OS 7,8 or 9. That's obviously the fault of the 
browser not Apple's Java runtime libs but it's still not the best of 
situations...
